Founders Story
Second Sky was founded by two sisters who have always strongly believed in giving back to society in whatever way possible. What began as small conversations around creating meaningful change gradually evolved into a larger vision — to build an initiative that could create impact on a bigger scale while bringing together people who share the same mindset and values.
The idea behind Second Sky was born from an immense sense of responsibility and empathy towards the community. Beyond creating meaningful initiatives for children and underserved communities, the founders also wanted to build a community of compassionate individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Through Second Sky, they hope to provide people with opportunities to contribute, collaborate, and create positive impact in society together.

Ishita Banthia
Founder
For Ishita, giving back has always been close to her heart, drawing her to opportunities that connect people and uplift communities. Over the years, this passion took many forms. As a tGELF Youth Leadership participant, she championed holistic education, and at NMIMS, she founded Social Sundays at Elcity Club to bridge students and communities.
Through various collaborative drives, she has reached over 2,000 children.
But beyond the numbers, what stays with her are the conversations, smiles, and the reminder that small acts of kindness mean the world.
Second Sky was born from that belief: when people unite with empathy, they create wonderful opportunities to give back and build a truly wholesome experience together.
Suchi Banthia
Co-Founder
For Suchi, the idea of helping people began quietly during her school years through volunteering at old age homes and orphanages — spaces that taught her empathy, gratitude, and the importance of simply being present for someone.
She believes that kindness never goes unnoticed, and that the good we put into the world eventually finds its way back as peace, purpose, and eternal bliss.
Second Sky comes from that belief — that sometimes this world may not offer everyone the comfort, care, or opportunities they deserve, and so we must come together to create a second sky for them.
Because sometimes, all someone needs is a second chance, a second voice, or a second sky.
