Second Sky is a youth-led social impact initiative by SINA Foundation, a registered charitable trust.

Information We Collect
When you visit the website, make a contribution, submit a form, contact us, or volunteer, we may collect:
● name;
● phone number;
● email address;
● city/state;
● contribution amount;
● selected initiative;
● payment reference ID, UPI reference, transaction ID, or Razorpay payment ID;
● payment date and approximate payment time;
● payment confirmation, such as a screenshot, bank/UPI confirmation, gateway receipt, or confirmation form
submission details;
● contribution eligibility declaration;
● refund request details;
● refund eligibility details, including duplicate payment, incorrect amount, technical error, or ineligible
contribution information;
● messages or notes voluntarily submitted by you.
We do not ask for UPI PINs, card PINs, banking passwords, internet banking passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Why We Collect This Information
We collect information for:
● payment verification;
● contribution records;
● contribution acknowledgement;
● refund handling;
● accounting and compliance;

● communication about your contribution, volunteer request, or inquiry;
● internal reporting and initiative planning;
● fraud prevention and misuse prevention.
Temporary Contribution Account Disclosure
Until SINA Foundation’s own organization-level bank/payment gateway account is operational, domestic Indian contributions may be temporarily received through the payment account of Suchi Banthia, an authorized representative of SINA Foundation.
Information related to such contributions may be used to verify, record, acknowledge, reconcile, and, where applicable, refund payments.
Domestic Contributions and Eligibility
We currently accept monetary contributions only from eligible Indian contributors using Indian payment methods. We do not accept foreign contributions at this stage.
We may collect a declaration confirming that a contribution is domestic and is not being made on behalf of a foreign source.
Refund Information
Refunds will be given only if the same contribution was paid more than once by mistake, an incorrect amount was paid, payment was made due to a technical error, or a contribution is identified as ineligible, including a restricted foreign contribution. Every other case is non-refundable.
Refund applications should be submitted within 3 days from the date of payment with payment confirmation and relevant details, including contributor name, phone number, email address, payment date, approximate payment time if available, contribution amount, correct intended amount if applicable, selected initiative if any, payment reference ID or UPI/gateway transaction ID, payment method, reason for the refund request, and supporting details showing why the request falls within one of the eligible refund cases.
Information submitted for refund handling may be used to verify the payment, assess eligibility, process an approved refund, maintain accounting and compliance records, prevent misuse, and respond to follow-up queries.
Who May Access Your Information
Your information may be accessed by:
● authorised representatives of SINA Foundation;
● the authorised payment account holder for verification and reconciliation;
● payment gateway providers such as Razorpay;
● form, email, hosting, or website service providers;
● accountants, legal advisors, or compliance professionals where required;

● authorities, if disclosure is required under applicable law.
We do not sell contributor or volunteer information.
Payment Information
Payments are processed through payment service providers or UPI/payment platforms. We do not store full card numbers, UPI PINs, CVV, banking passwords, or payment app credentials on our website.
Data Retention
We may retain contribution, contact, refund, and accounting records for as long as needed for verification, reporting, legal, accounting, and compliance purposes.
General inquiries may be retained for a reasonable period to respond and maintain continuity.
Photos, Stories, and Public Content
We do not intentionally publish private contributor, volunteer, child, or beneficiary information without appropriate permission. If any image, name, or story needs correction or removal, please contact us.
Your Choices
You may contact us to request correction, update, or deletion of your personal information, subject to legal, accounting, and compliance record requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through the website and related forms. However, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
