Terms and Conditions

These Contribution Terms apply to all voluntary contributions made through the Second Sky website.
Second Sky is a youth-led social impact initiative by SINA Foundation. SINA Foundation is a registered charitable trust. Second Sky is not a company, school, hospital, government programme, or registered NGO.
Contribution Arrangement
SINA Foundation is currently in the process of setting up its own organisation-level bank and payment gateway account.
Until that setup is operational, domestic Indian contributions for Second Sky are temporarily received through the payment account of Suchi Banthia, an authorised representative of SINA Foundation.
This is not SINA Foundation’s own bank account. Verified contributions received through this arrangement are internally recorded for Second Sky / SINA Foundation initiatives.
Domestic Contributions Only
We currently accept monetary contributions only from contributors using eligible Indian payment methods.
We do not accept foreign contributions at this stage. If you are a foreign citizen, OCI/PIO cardholder, foreign company, foreign organisation, or are contributing on behalf of any foreign source, please do not proceed with payment.
By making a contribution, you confirm that your contribution is domestic, lawful, voluntary, and not made on behalf of a foreign source.
Initiative-Specific Contributions
You may choose to support one of the listed Second Sky initiatives, including Noor, Sunday Circles, Share a Wish, Evara, or a general Second Sky contribution.
Where an initiative is selected, we will aim to record and prioritise the contribution towards that initiative. However, if the selected initiative is delayed, changed, completed, or unable to use the contribution immediately, SINA Foundation may use the contribution for similar charitable trust purposes aligned with Second Sky’s mission.
Minimum Contribution Amounts
Each initiative may have a minimum contribution amount. The general contribution option currently starts at Rs. 100.
The minimum amount shown on the contribution page at the time of payment will apply.
No Tax Deduction
SINA Foundation does not currently offer 80G tax-deduction benefits.
Any acknowledgement, message, confirmation, or receipt issued for a contribution is for payment verification and record-keeping only. It should not be treated as an 80G certificate, tax receipt, or tax-deduction document.
Payment Gateway and Charges
Payments may be processed through Razorpay or another authorised payment service provider. Payment gateway charges, bank charges, or processing fees may apply and may be deducted before settlement.
SINA Foundation is not responsible for technical issues caused by banks, payment gateways, UPI apps, card networks, or internet service providers.
Contribution Acknowledgement
After making a contribution, you may receive a payment confirmation or contribution acknowledgement. This acknowledgement confirms receipt or verification of payment only. It does not guarantee tax benefits, specific outcomes, or allocation to a specific beneficiary.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Refunds will be given only if:
- the same contribution was paid more than once by mistake;
- an incorrect amount was paid;
- payment was made due to a technical error;
- a contribution is identified as ineligible, including a restricted foreign contribution.
Every other case is non-refundable. Refund applications should be submitted within 3 days from the date of payment with payment confirmation and relevant details, including contributor name, phone number, email address, payment date, approximate payment time if available, contribution amount, correct intended amount if applicable, selected initiative if any, payment reference ID or UPI/gateway transaction ID, payment method, reason for the refund request, and supporting details showing why the request falls within one of the eligible refund cases.
Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate details, including your name, contact information, payment reference, contribution amount, and eligibility declaration. Incorrect information may delay acknowledgement, record-keeping, or refund processing.
Changes to This Arrangement
This temporary authorized representative payment arrangement may change once SINA Foundation’s own organization-level bank/payment gateway account becomes operational. The website will be updated when that change takes place.
